The duvet is Thomas O'Brien from Target and the "bedskirt" is a sheet from the same line (definitely needs ironed!) The curtains are Dwell Studio tablecloths from Target. I couldn't find actual curtains that I liked anywhere.
Eventually I want to add more art to the wall. I want to have just original paintings there. The one at the top left will eventually find a different home but I needed it here for now. I'll hopefully get photos of the rest of the room taken soon but I'd love to here what you think so far - good or bad!
Okay - if you really want opinions, here's mine: the "curtains" are my favorite thing - I am ambivalent about the duvet - seems too plain to me - but overall I think it looks great! And I am digging what you did with your headboard find. And, yes, adding more great original artwork to the wall will be the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteI love your light, airy bedroom! I'm so inspired to continue working hard on mine. From this picture I admire excellent balance. I don't think the duvet selection looks bad at all the bold graphic in the curtains is a nice pop. I also like the paint color and was considering a similar one for my bedroom rehaul. The only thing I would do is add more art to the walls. I'm thrifting for frames so I can matt and hang all my favorite original art pieces and prints for the bedroom. My bedroom will be so relaxing and happy- I'll be surrounded by all my favorite art.
ReplyDeleteI love the curtains! The painting with the yellow and white flowers works perfectly. I know its tedious but personally I would swap lamps. The one by the window would give a little height to the other side. Great room! I'll have to steal that paint color :)
ReplyDeleteI love the curtains and I love the duvet cover, but maybe not together. The curtains are too bold and the duvet is too muted. Love what you are doing though!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of your decorating! I really like the color scheme, and those curtains are awesome. Perhaps a bold black and white blanket with a smidge of bright yellow draped across the bottom of the bed would be an easy "fix" to the muted-ness of the duvet. Love the yellow headboard.
