Padilla Drip Mugs and Other Stuff

I've been thinking about starting up an antique booth again so this week when I saw a new West Bottoms shop was opening up I decided to take the plunge.  The shop won't be open until April, which gives me a little time to build some inventory.  So in preparation for that I hit an estate sale and some of the thrift stores this week.  Here are some of my finds:
I found a set of six of these drip mugs at the thrift store for $1 each.  They are hand signed on the bottom but I can't make out the mark.  Anyone recognize it?  Thanks to justjenn for the identification!  These are made by Padilla.

Signature from the bottom of the mugs.  Each one is hand done.  This one was the most legible.

Pair of wooden birds from an estate sale.  $1 each.
Orphan blown glass stopper.  $3
Pink speckled pottery planter.  It is marked but I can't read it.  $1 from a thrift store.
Very heavy wine bottle chiller.   This is pretty neat in person - it's very cold to the touch.  The mark below is on the bottom.  Anyone recognize it?  $5 from an estate sale.

I paid $8 for this office chair.  I hadn't planned on doing anything to it but then I realized that black band around the seat is actually electrical tape.  Looks pretty good for tape, but I'll be recovering it before I sell it.  Found at a thrift store.
This guy might be my favorite find of the week.  He's almost a foot tall and very heavy cast iron.  I paid $6 at an estate sale with plans that I would sell him.  I just might have to keep it though.  It would be great lit up for Halloween.
Huge Dansk enamel pot.  I'm not sure if this originally had a lid or not.  I couldn't find any of this size online.  The opening is 12" across, almost 16" from handle to handle, and it is about 5" deep.  $3 from an estate sale.
Super heavy glass pitcher.  Weirdly heavy actually.  I imagine it would be very difficult to use.  $2 from a thrift store.
Seth Thomas wall clock.  It actually keeps perfect time too.  I've got so many clocks on the walls and none of them work correctly - something I need to fix!  This is currently hanging in my family room, replacing one that needs new works.

  1. I believe your drip mugs were created by the artist Rodolpho Padilla. Best of luck with your booth!

    1. Thank you so much for the identification! I would never have gotten there from the signature. And it looks like they probably are a little newer than I thought. I'll have to go back to the thrift and see if they have the mug tree that would have gone with them.

  2. That's quite a haul! My family used to have one of those owl lanterns; they go for some nice money ($95-$150).

    1. I was a little surprised when I saw how much they were selling for. I thought it would be a good item but had no idea just how good! I found it in the garage of the sale all covered in cobwebs and dirt.

  3. The mugs are pretty cool even if they are newer - the shape and color really make them. Love the metal owl, too. It would be fun for Halloween. And the wooden birds are fun! Good luck with your West Bottoms booth. I would love to do one in that area but I don't know if I have access to the right kind of inventory to make it work.

  4. I love all your finds! The owl is amazing and I love the clock. Great that it actually works...I have quite the population of non-working clocks in my house as well!

  5. I believe the wine chiller is Nambe? I have a bowl I received as a wedding gift in the same metal and same stamp.

    1. Thank you so much for the identification! That is definitely what it is. I could tell it was nice quality but I'm still shocked by how much they retail for!
