I just realized that most of the photos of my home are pretty out of date - especially the living/dining rooms. Since the space was actually clean today I took some shots. The space is long and narrow and doesn't really allow for a lot of choices on furniture placement. I've tried to play around with it but this is really the only setup that works very well. Possibly if I had fewer than 12 chairs in there it might be easier, but what fun would that be?

Oh.my.god. Your place is amazing. Are you sure this is not from a MCM Architectural Digest? Also, I LOVE the way you have displayed all your West German pottery.
ReplyDeleteUm, are you looking for a room mate by chance, lol?
Thank you so much! I wish I could see it with fresh eyes. I'd love to upgrade the cabinet that holds the pottery with something a little nicer (and maybe that would hold even more pottery!) but I'm waiting until something falls into my lap. Could be awhile!
DeleteIt looks FAB!!!! You've done an amazing job of laying it out and considering you have TWELVE chairs it doesn't look in the least bit cluttered, just unbelievably cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Keeping the clutter down is definitely a challenge!
DeleteIt's beautiful! My favorite details are the awesome dramatic patterned drapes and that neat geometric gold sculpture thingy on the wall.
ReplyDeleteThank you - those curtains sure were a pain but I've been super happy with them!
DeleteYour space is fantastic! Love the colors and textures. Would you like to be featured in "Meet the Thrifter" on my blog? Let me know.
ReplyDeleteThanks! In case you miss my email - absolutely!
DeleteI love it all! (where did you get your curtians?!) it all looks wonderful, and flows so well together. So envious of all your great pieces!
ReplyDeleteThanks - I actually made the curtains with fabric from Ikea. That was a job I don't care to repeat!
DeleteWhat a great room. Love the wall colors and the lamps. Your sofa looks comfy! What is the brand?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much - the couch is Eugene from Room & Board. It is super comfy!
DeleteGreat! Thanks.
DeleteWow you have some great stuff. The Z chairs are to die for!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your space. Can you tell me what paint color and brand that green wall color is?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had a really hard time finding the right green for the space. I ended up mixing a sample of the color myself and then having that color matched. Long after I painted it I did see some similar colors from Benjamin Moore.
DeleteOMG,you have my parents' coffee table! I have been looking for one like theirs every since my mom decided to sell it at a garage sale (no, I was not there to rescue it :(). Her table did not have little side pieces, but the rest is the same. I am on a mission to find ours, or one like it, again! Love yours!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your hunt! I got impatient when I was searching for mine and ended up getting it on ebay. Still, it wasn't too bad of a price and was just what I wanted!
DeleteFor the love of all things holy, please streamline your horizontal spaces. You don't need to display all the things all the time. You have great pieces, but it's impossible to really appreciate or enjoy any of them because everything is packed so tight.
